WE WORK AS A TEAM...WITH YOU WICKBERG GROUP, inc.
Choosing the right team for the design and construction of your project is an important key to your success. We provide construction services that are honest, competent and value driven.
Green Building-Sustainable Design
Construction projects impact the environment and building occupants. The use of sustainable construction methods and materials significantly reduces, and can often eliminate these negative impacts. Wickberg Group, inc. can help clients minimize this risk by adhering to LEED® guidelines for sustainable construction through all phases of a project. We will manage a project from inception or schematic design, to design/development, to construction documents and specifications, to construction, and finally to occupancy. For more information on LEED® Certified Buildings, visit the US Green Building Council here.
Chris Wickberg, President of the Wickberg Group, inc. is a LEED AP (Accredited Professional) and led teams on three LEED Certified Projects. The Wickberg Group, inc. is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council as well.
During the Programming and Conceptual Phase of the project, Wickberg Group, inc. will meet with the client and design team to develop an integrated plan to achieve a sustainable building design, construction and long term operation and maintenance plan. This plan will adhere to LEED® guidelines, and once the team decides that achieving a LEED® Certified Building is desired, our LEED® Accredited Professional ( LEED® AP) will initialize the certification process and serve as the Project Administrator, guiding the team though the various phases of review and documentation necessary for certification.
As the Schematic Design Phase progresses, Wickberg Group, inc. conducts a review of the design goals with the owner and design team, followed by a first cost analysis and an evaluation of design alternatives to maximize potential LEED® credits. We can then perform modeling and further analysis needed to develop potential LEED® Certification Performance Goals for the project.
During the Construction document and specification phase, we will identify critical LEED® design elements on Drawings and in Specifications. Working closely with the team, Wickberg Group, inc. assists the design team in finalizing the construction documents to conform to LEED® requirements, including a detailed plan for Primary Construction Activities such as Waste Reduction, Material Reuse and Recycling, and reduced site disturbance.
Once construction begins, we will monitor progress and document results in accordance with LEED® guidelines. At the completion of a LEED® Project, our team will help clients apply for rebates and grants, organize and submit all LEED® credit documentation and finalize the process for the project to be certified by the USGBC.
